Echoes in Landscapes is two pieces of atmospheric ambient music.
The first, an introspective and thoughtful piece, slowly evolving from the initial tolling bell.
The second slowly becomes a brighter, more heavenly piece.
Almost two hours of slow drifting music available on double CD and name-your-price download.
The music is created using the "phasing" technique.
Two loops of the same recording are played at the same time. However, these loops are slightly out of sync, so as they drift apart, they create new sounds, motifs and atmospheres from the original recordings.
The music on this album, and all other Kowalski Room albums, is created purely from layers of these phasing tape loops.
Layered minimalist ambient music.
Field recordings, found sounds, recycled motifs.
